Review:
I am a fan of Guy Ritchie [I love his film Snatch! - notice how I phrased that :-) and I enjoyed Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels] I was going to see this one in the theatre, however it was one of those that was here for a week and then gone :-(

If you like Guy Ritchie's other movies, then you will like this one as well.
[I would have to say that I liked this one even more than Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels - though Snatch is still my favorite Ritchie film]

As with all of Ritchie's films, there is a ton of stuff going on - all intertwined and intermingled.
I had quite a few favorite scenes in this film, and there are some really funny parts as well. [one of which is when Handsome Bob - played by Tom Hardy - lets One Two - played by Gerard Butler - in on a little secret of his - that was too funny!

Let me leave you with my favorite line of the film [spoken by Tom Wilkinson, who was fantastic in this film!] "I own these bollocks, and right now they're more fragile than a pair of quail's eggs" :-)

Here's the Trailer:

Oh, and just so you aren't left hanging at the end of the film - this is the 1st film in a planned trilogy...

Grrr....Argh, I am so jealous that you get to see all of these great flicks Jason. Either I don't get them in my neck of the woods or I cannot seem to find the time. Although I am going to go and see Slumdog Millionaire tomorrow (I try to see the Oscar noms even though the Oscars just frustrate me in the end...still Oscar party = fun to be had). Wish this film would head my way. Here endeth my frustration. ;}

Starbuck,

RocknRolla just came out on DVD yesterday - Netflix has it available as well!

My parents saw Slumdog and really liked it [plus you can't really go wrong with Danny Boyle] ;-)

Let me know how you liked Slumdog - it's in my Netflix Queue

Glad to hear that you're a Ritchie fan [I thought perhaps he would be too mainstream for you!] just kidding :-)

just saw it last night. pleasantly surprised.

not the biggest guy ritchie fan myself (i live with one) i really liked this one. snatch is still my favorite overall but this one was pretty good and a nice start for the trilogy i thought. the chase after the 2nd heist with the russians was hilarious.

one thing i saw from a mile and a 1/2 away though was i knew they were not going to show that painting.

That chase sequence was one of the best parts of the movie! [that guy just kept going!] :-)

Yeah, I figured that [about the painting] as well - for the best, probably.
