Review:
This one is actually a pretty decent little indie flick. I definitely enjoyed it enough to keep an eye on the director! [his next project is a Documentary titled Herpers - about reptile fanatics - it comes out, next year, and sounds very interesting!]

As for 13 Hours in a Warehouse, I would bet money that Kaufman is a huge fan of Reservoir Dogs, as this movie has a similar vibe - between the thieves.
[Just remember that this is a low-budget, independent production]

I do not want to say too much about the plot, as I knew nothing about the movie, and that may have enhanced my enjoyment of it. I will however mention that there is a scene, that takes place in a bathroom, that was very reminiscent of Samara, from The Ring ~ Freaky!
I also enjoy cool endings! :-)

Definitely worth renting, in my opinion!

Hey Jason,

Your mohawk reminds me of mine in the film!
I played the role of Craig Teller, the mohawk wearing get-away driver.

Am glad you saw the film and took the time to write about it. And I totally agree about the bathroom scene; I actually had some thoughts of Samara from THE RING running through my mind when we were filming by the toilets.

The director Dav Kaufman is in pre-production on his next story "Psychosis of Ghosts" which ought to be another good piece of horror.

Paul,

Thank you very much for taking the time to stop by & read my review - that is so cool :-)

About the mohawk, I thought the same thing when I first saw you - what is even funnier, is that we have pretty much the same build as well. . .

Also, thanks for letting me know about Dav's next project!

I am going to go check out your Blog now :-)

Damn - you've been a busy boy! Had to scroll all the way down. hehehe

I watched this over the weekend and thought it was great. The actors were wonderful and did a great job. The storyline was pretty original and I was impressed by the effects considering it was an indie flick.

It actually dragged my daughter's attention out of her iPod-coma and she watched the last half with me. You can't get any more kudos than that from a 14 year old. LOL

Thanks for the write-up, I'm truly glad I watched it. I'll be looking for more films from Dav Kaufman.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the film Jessi! :-)

Not sure if you read Paul's comment, or not, but Kaufman is in pre-production on another ghost film titled "Psychosis of Ghosts"

I will be keeping an eye out on that, as well as Herpers. . .

I've seen this on rental shelves a few times in passing, but I've blown it off every time. After reading your appraisal, I'll think I'll give it a shot sometime.

Yeah, not the greatest cover - still, you know what they say about that. . . :-)

I just assumed it was some kind of rip-off of 13 Tziameti, or just a generic "torture porn" post-Hostel Saw wanna-be or something.

Nope :-)

Also, 13 Tziameti is a great flick!
